April 25, 2026

At Love in Action (LIA), we believe that supporting children means caring for both their minds and their environment. On April 25, 2026, our team set out for a wonderful day of connection and community action at Shule ya Visiwi Njia Panda.
This visit was centered around sustainability, hands-on learning, and building a closer bond with the students and teachers.
Cultivating the School Garden
One of the highlights of the day was working alongside the children in the school farm and garden. Together, we cleared weeds, tended to the young corn crops, and worked on the vegetable beds of fresh, green leafy vegetables (sukuma wiki).
By teaching and participating in sustainable agricultural activities, we aim to: * Encourage self-reliance: Helping schools grow their own nutritious food. * Promote healthy nutrition: Ensuring children have direct access to fresh greens. * Engage in teamwork: Building collaboration skills through shared physical activity.
Sharing Joy and Building Hope
After our time in the garden, we gathered with the children for games, talks, and a group photo. Seeing their bright, energetic faces reminded us of why we do this work. We were inspired by their enthusiasm and determination to learn, both in the classroom and in the fields.
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the teachers, school staff, and volunteers who made this day successful. Your support enables us to keep spreading love in action!
